Your first visit to DeWitt Family Dentistry establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During the first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information, like your medical history, and give you time to get to know your doctor. Your initial examination includes charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations. We will take x-rays, including bitewings for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth. Other x-rays include full mouth intra-oral series and panoramic x-ray if necessary. A cleaning is not included in the first visit for adult patients.
